Chemical Hygiene Plan Emergency procedures: uncontrollable situations Here we assume that whatever is causing the damage to the building is still occurring. For example, a chemical spill that is so hazardous than the team of specially trained individuals, such as the HAZMAT team, must be notified. Anybody who was injured must be taken to safety and treated immediately for their injuries. In addition to this, all other individuals must be removed to take them out of harm’s way. The building supervisor must remain available to explain the situation to the appropriate emergency response professionals. |
