Biology Major for Bachelor of
Science in Education
Students
majoring in this program take a thirty-three hour biology core
following the guidelines of the National Science Teachers
Association and supporting science, computer and mathematics
courses. Students majoring in this program will be prepared to teach
Biology and a selected minor at the secondary level as well as being
prepared to use the computer as a tool in both the learning and
teaching of biology.
Majors must take PSYC
101, BIOL 151, BIOL 165 or BIOL 201, MATH 102
and either HIST 151, HIST 152 or HIST 255 as part of the system-wide
general education requirements.
Majors must take CIS 130 as part of the information technology literacy
requirement.
