Library Science - A master’s degree in library science is necessary for librarian positions in most public, academic, and special libraries, and in some K-12 libraries. A baccalaureate degree is required to enter a graduate library science program. Background preparation varies and is dependent on the career goal of the individual. University Honors Program 

Students successfully completing the requirements of the University Honors Program will be designated “Honors Graduates”.  This designation will appear on the student’s transcripts, diplomas, and the commencement program. See Center of Excellence under Interdisciplinary Studies.

Air Force ROTC 

Qualified DSU students may participate in the Air Force ROTC program offered on the campus of South Dakota State University in Brookings. They will be granted appropriate academic credit applicable toward graduation from DSU for the successful completion of courses offered by the Department of Aerospace Studies at SDSU. Qualified DSU students can compete for Air Force ROTC scholarships and financial assistance.
