Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems

Graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems have a strong background in computing and business. Each graduate has an understanding of operating systems, data base applications programming, and on-line applications. Students are given significant experience in case studies of real-world information-systems application development.

The degree is also offered on a part-time, evening basis in Sioux Falls. For more information, contact the College office or the Director of Sioux Falls programs.

All students earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems degree must complete the following courses:

Information Technology Literacy Requirement**

* Majors must take ECON 201 and MATH 102 as part of the system-wide general education requirements. Computer Information Systems majors who test directly into MATH 121 do not need to complete MATH 102.
** Majors must take CIS 130 as part of the information technology literacy requirements. The MATH 112 ITL requirement is met when the student completes MATH 121.
