Sept. 1 (Mon)            8:00 a.m. Residence Halls open

                                    New Student Orientation Activities begin

Sept. 1 (Mon)             Labor Day – no classes

Sept. 2 (Tues)            Registration for new students-Enrollment Services, Heston Hall

                                    4:00 p.m.  Classes begin

Sept. 4 (Thurs)          Tuition and Fees - Deadline for payment or payment plan to avoid cancellation of registration and late fee assessment

Sept. 5 (Fri)               Last day to drop a first half semester class in person and receive 100% refund

Sept. 6 (Sat)              Last day to drop a first half semester class and receive 100% refund

Sept. 11 (Thurs)        CENSUS DAY

Last day to register for any fall class to determine financial aid eligibility

                                    Last day to add a full semester class

                                    Last day to drop a full semester class and receive 100% refund

Sept. 13 (Sat)            PRAXIS test date

Oct. 1 (Wed)              Last day to apply for fall 2008 graduation

Oct. 7(Tues)               Last day to withdraw from a first half semester class and receive a grade of “W”

Oct. 13 (Mon)             Native Americans’ Day – no classes

Oct. 15 (Wed)             Student Convocation

Oct. 24 (Fri)                Last day of  first half semester classes

Oct. 29 (Wed)             Mid-term deficient grades due

Oct. 31 (Fri)                Last day to drop a second half semester class and receive 100%  refund

Nov. 3-21                   Continuing student pre-registration for spring 2009

Nov. 5 (Wed)             Last day to withdraw from the University and be eligible for a refund of    University charges based on federal regulations and Board of Regents policy

Nov. 10 (Mon)            Assessment Day – no daytime classes on main campus; classes starting 5:00 p.m. and later will meet

Nov. 11 (Tues)           Veterans’ Day – no classes

Nov. 15 (Sat)              PRAXIS test date

Nov. 17 (Mon)            Last day to withdraw from a full semester course or school and receive a grade of “W”

Nov. 27-30                  Thanksgiving holiday – no classes

Dec. 1 (Mon)              Classes Resume

Dec. 3 (Wed)             Last day to withdraw from a second half semester class and receive a grade of “W”

Dec. 13 (Sat)             Commencement – Fieldhouse

Dec. 15-19                 Final Examination Period

Dec. 19 (Fri)               Semester Ends

                                     Residence Halls Close – 5:00 p.m.

Dec. 24(Wed)            Final grades due
