NCA Extends Accreditation to DSU’s Madison -- Dakota State University received notification from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) that it extended DSU’s accreditation to include the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) and the distance delivery of the Health Information Management degree. “We are excited about this final accreditation action of our Master of Science in Information Systems and the approval of our first degree to be delivered via the Internet,” said Dr. Jerald Tunheim, President of Dakota State University. He went on to add that there has been considerable interest in the MSIS program from the information technology workers throughout eastern South Dakota. DSU has numerous potential candidates who are ready to begin the program this Fall. The delivery of Health Information Management via the Internet is also an extremely significant step in the development of DSU, Tunheim stated. “This program offers people throughout the state an opportunity to earn this degree and will offer Dakota State high visibility throughout the nation,” said Tunheim.
