DSU’s Layton receives certifications 

Madison/Sioux Falls – Jean Layton, Director of the Nonprofit Management Institute for Dakota State University, has recently received certifications as senior grants specialist, certified grants reviewer, and certified fund raising executive (CFRE). 

The CFRE is awarded by the National Society for Fund Raising Executives and requires a person to sit for an exam as well as document experience and training related to at least five years of experience in the field of fundraising.  Only about 4,000 individuals worldwide hold the CFRE credential. 

Layton’s office is located at the DSU Sioux Falls campus through the Center for Public Higher Education.
