NATIVE AMERICAN DAY AT DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY


Madison -- Dakota State University at Madison, South Dakota announces its First Annual Native American Day on April 15. At 6:30, the Native American Club along with Project SHAPE (Students for Healthy Alternatives and Prevention Education) are providing Indian Tacos and non-alcoholic drinks. At 8:00, the popular Native American Band "Indigenous" will perform in the Marketplace of the Trojan Center until 12 midnight. "Indigenous" is one of the hottest rising blues acts in the country and is now cutting their 4th album. They have shared the stage with numerous nationally known bands and are currently on tour.

2-3 p.m. Arrival and Registration in Spectrum Lounge
3-5 p.m. Campus Tours
5-6 p.m. Spotlight on Educational Opportunities
6:15 p.m. Reconvene, Sneakers
6:30 p.m. President Tunheim Address
6:45 p.m. Meal: Indian Tacos, Sneakers
8:00 p.m. "Indigenous" Concert - Marketplace
