DSU hosts SDBEA Fall Conference Madison Dakota State University recently hosted the South Dakota Business Education Association (SDBEA) Fall conference on October 10th. The one day conference featured Linda Morgan, President of the Mountain Plains Business Education Association and instructor at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, OK. The Mountain Plains is one of five regions in the United States belonging to the National Business Education Association (NBEA). The NBEA is the nations largest professional organization devoted exclusively to serving individuals and groups engaged in instruction, administration, research, and dissemination of information for and about business. States included in the Mountain Plains are Colorado, New Mexico, South Dakota, Kansas, North Dakota, Texas, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. Morgan focused her presentation, titled "Education: an Interactive Journey", on teaching in the classroom and the value of that teaching. "Educators can make a difference. We have to. If we dont take interest in our youth, we have no future," said Morgan. Others involved in the conference were Lynette Molstad, Assistant Professor for the College of Business & Information Systems at Dakota State and the SDBEA Board Mickey Neuharth of Eureka, Michelle Metzinger of Cresbard, and Lynnette Heitz of Ipswich.
