DSUs Roe initiated in Beta Phi Mu Madison Sandra Roe, Technical Services Librarian and instructor at Dakota State University, was recently initiated into Beta Phi Mu, the international honor society for library science. Roe was recommended by the faculty of the University of Illinois Graduate School of Library and Information. Her recommendation was based on her excellent scholastic record and professional promise. She has become a member of the Alpha Chapter of Beta Phi Mu. Beta Phi Mu was founded in 1948 at the University of Illinois. Today, there are more than 40 active chapters in the organization. More than 30,000 people have become members. (end) |
