DSUs Ericsson is presenter at Computers & Writing Conference Madison -- Patricia Ericsson, a professor for the College of Liberal Arts at Dakota State University, will be a presenter at the 13th Computers and Writing Conference held this June in Honolulu, Hawaii. The conference, which has an international attendance of 400 people, focuses on topics in computers and writing. The Computers and Writing Conference is the premiere conference in its area and past conferences have helped define the ideas and issues that have constituted computers and writing as an academic field. Ericsson, who has been a presenter at several past conferences, is a member of a panel on "Writing Communities: Collaborative Strategies for the Electronic Writing". As a member, she will have an individual presentation on the writing strategies of her Advanced Composition classes at Dakota State. The strategies include online class discussion, the use of notice boards & listservs, and a collaborative World Wide Web Site. Other members of Ericssons panel are Leslie Harris, SUNY Plattsburgh; Marcia Mascolini, Western Michigan University; and Will Hochman, University of Western Colorado. (end)
