Dakota State is Host Training Site for CansurFacs Software Madison Dakota State University recently announced that it has been asked to be a host training site for CansurFacs, a software package developed by the American College of Surgeons. American College of Surgeons, which is based out of Chicago, provided Dakota State University with the software free of charge in January. The software was designed for the collection, management, analysis, and reporting of oncology data. As a regional training site, Dakota State University has agreed to provide training twice a year annually as needed . The first training is scheduled for this June, and eight to ten hospitals from South Dakota and surrounding states are expected to attend. "This is a great opportunity for Dakota State. It provides added exposure to our programs and our computer environment at the University," said Dorine Bennett, Director of Health Information Management at DSU. "In addition, having the software on campus allows our students to utilize cutting edge technology." (end) |
