Dr. Brokenleg to speak at Dakota State


Madison -- The Office of Student Development at Dakota State University is pleased to announce that Dr. Martin Brokenleg, a professor of Native American Studies at Augustana College, will address the campus and community on issues of diversity Wednesday, April 30th beginning at 4pm in the Karl Mundt Foundation area. There will be a short reception following his address.

Dr. Brokenleg is an enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and has worked an an alcohol counselor and correctional chaplain. He has trained youth workers on four continents and is a collaborating author of Reclaiming Youth at Risk.

Dr. Brokenleg’s visit to DSU is sponsored by the Bush Faculty Development Committee, the Native American Club, and the Office of Student Development. For further information, please call 256-5146.
