AHIMA Motivator Award Given to DSU Graduate

Madison -- Carol Person, a 1977 Dakota State University graduate, was recently awarded the Motivator Award by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

The Motivator Award honors the commitment and expertise of those who demonstrate excellence in clinical supervision, according to the AHIMA.

"I have known Carol for over 20 years and she has been an outstanding role model to both her colleagues and students. Her enthusiasm and expertise serve as examples of what we all strive for," said Dorine Bennett, Director of Health Information Management Programs at DSU.

Carol is a graduate of the Health Information Management program, then known as medical records. She is Director of the Medical Records Department at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls.
