Dakota State University Names Women’s Basketball Coach

Dakota State University announces the new head coach for the women’s basketball program.

Joe Reints will begin his duties August 15^th. He comes to DSU from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee, where he served as head coach of the Lady Eagles, an NAIA Division I school, for the past 3 years. The Lady Eagles earned the 2007 NAIA Division I National Championship. Coach Reints’ career record at Lambuth University is 69-33 and his team has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.03.

From 2003-2005, Joe served as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach for Texas State University. He has additional coaching experience with Mt. Marty College and Northern State University. A native of Willow Lake, South Dakota, Joe graduated from SDSU with a bachelor of science in history and from Northern State University with a master’s in health, physical education, and coaching.

Reints is originally from Willow Lake, SD.

In addition to his coaching duties, Mr. Reints will serve as assistant to the athletic director.
