DSU Announces Placement Rates

Dakota State University (DSU) announced a 98% overall placement rate for the graduating class of 2006-2007, with several programs achieving 100% placement.

Programs that achieved 100% placement included Health Information Administration, Respiratory Therapy, Computer Science, E-Commerce, Elementary Education and Special Learning,  Business Management, Business Administration, and Computer Information Systems.

Geographically, 74% of the graduates placed in their field chose to remain in South Dakota.  Of the teacher education graduates, 80% chose to remain in South Dakota.

The data for the placement report is derived from follow-up surveys and direct contact with the graduation class of 2006.   The placement percentages are based on graduates who report accepting employment related to their field of study.
