DSU SIFE First Runner Up at Regional Competition

DSU’s Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team earned first runner up honors at the regional competition in Minneapolis this year.  

The presentation team included David Wiederich, President: Jesse Erdman, President-Elect; Erica Christoph, Vice-President-Elect; Noah Sanderson; and Joe Henderson. The technical crew included Kyle Stoebner, Webmaster/Historian; Sandy Smith, Secretary-Elect; and Adam Maas, Treasurer-Elect. Jodi Benson, also contributed to projects and served as a PR rep for the team this year.  Jennifer Raymond, Treasurer, prepared the report for the presentation.

 The DSU SIFE team’s presentation included a report and videos on the nearly 1000 community service hours performed by team members during the last year. Members did activities ranging from teaching in the K-12 schools, to preparing taxes for low-income citizens, to producing a public service announcement about software piracy, to assisting in the formation of local businesses, to helping the homeless in Sioux Falls.

  Other members of SIFE at DSU include Michelle Fisher, Michelle Barnes, Alyssa Burdick, and Erin Lundberg. The DSU SIFE faculty advisor is Dr. Jack Walters.
