DSU Professors Present at International
Conference Dakota State University professors Dr. Omar El-Gayar
and Dr. Amit Deokar will be presenting their research at an
international conference in Hawaii the first week of January.
The Annual Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences
was founded in 1968 and attracts researchers and practitioners in
the information, computer, and systems sciences.
Dr. El-Gayar and Dr. Deokar have been
collaborating on aspects of decision support systems for over a
year. They have been investigating mechanisms for sharing decision
models to aid practitioners in making decisions efficiently and
effectively. Their
research has practical applications in a number of areas including
security planning, healthcare information, environmental
information, and information technology service management.
Dr. El-Gayar is the dean of graduate studies and
research and Dr. Deokar is an assistant professor in the College of
Business and Information Systems at Dakota State.
