DSU College of Arts and Sciences Sponsors Earth Day Activities The College of Arts and Sciences at Dakota State University is sponsoring Earth Day activities Thursday, April 19 on the DSU campus. The Academy Award winning documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” will be shown in the Science Center Auditorium at 5:00pm. DSU professors Dr. Dale Droge and Dr. Donna Hazelwood will be available after the file for a question and answer period. The college is also sponsoring a writing contest for DSU students. Entrants can submit original poetry, essays, short fiction, or graphic fiction expressing their appreciation for the earth and showing an awareness of the human responsibility for it. Winners will be announced following the video. The events will conclude at 7:30pm with a special activity involving over 100 DSU students and their tablet computers. The students will sit in grid formation holding their tablets. Each tablet will have a specific color on the screen to form different words when the students hold the tablets up.
