USDSU Bill Signing Construction will start soon in northwest Sioux Falls on a permanent location for what is now known as USDSU. When the new site is completed, USDSU will deliver classes offered by the six South Dakota public universities. DSU President Dr. Doug Knowlton participated in a bill signing on March 9 in Sioux Falls. Governor Mike Rounds signed two new laws; one that allows the Board of Regents to spend a $5.8 million grant from Great Plains Education Foundation to buy a 263-acre tract of land near Interstate 29. The second law provides $8 million in state funds for construction of a classroom building on the site. will allow construction to start in northwest Sioux Falls on a permanent location for the state's public university system, where students can take classes offered by the six South Dakota public universities.
