Trojan Days Parade Changes Direction The Dakota State University Trojan Days Homecoming parade is changing direction this year, running south to north. The parade begins at 10:00am on Saturday, September 30, starting at S 4th Street and heading north up Egan Avenue to N 9th Street. The change was requested by the Dakota State Alumni Association to facilitate viewing the parade from locations on the west edge of the DSU campus. “We wanted to open things up for alumni and friends from a distance who might not have an opportunity to visit the campus,” stated DSU Alumni Director Jona Schmidt. Schmidt says the alumni association is hosting an area on campus where people can gather for the parade. The direction change means groups will have to report to locations at the south end of Egan Avenue to line up for the parade. Bands will unload near the Flynn Field baseball complex and load near N. 8th ST. and N. Harth Avenue. The parade is being organized by Student Services and anyone with questions can contact their office at 256-5146. Entries for the parade will be accepted through September 22.
