DSU Plans Halftime Activities for December 6 Game

Dakota State University and Daktronics Sports Marketing will host a DSU Athletics Partner Appreciation Presentation during halftime of the Trojan Men’s basketball game on Wednesday, December 6.  The Lady T’s begin the evening with their game at 5:30pm followed by the Trojan men at 7:30pm in the DSU Fieldhouse.   

In a campus-wide signage project, Dakota State worked with Daktronics in recruiting partners to help bring scoreboards and message boards to DSU.  Signs were placed in the Fieldhouse, Trojan Field, Flynn Field, and on the corner of Washington and 2^nd Street.  Partners being recognized Wednesday include Anchor Sponsor Coca Cola and Founding Sponsors Prostrollo’s All-American Auto Mall, Madison Community Hospital, Prairie Wave, and Heartland Consumer Power District.  Premier Sponsors include Jubilee Foods, Montgomery’s Furniture Outlet, Geno’s on the Lake, Wells Fargo Bank in Madison, Pizza Ranch and Commission Soup.  Major Sponsors recognized include Madison Realty, 2^nd Street Diner, National Guard Unit 153 Company B, Northwestern Energy, KJAM Radio, Madison Daily Leader and Madison Farmer’s Elevator, Prairie Coach, Dakota Fixture and Cabinet, and Dakota Care.

The scoreboard in the DSU Fieldhouse includes a Pro Star Live Video Board that can run game replays and live action. As an added feature, the new Dakota State television commercial will be debuted on the board during the basketball games.  DSU Athletics and Daktronics are also teaming up to give away a trip to an LA Lakers basketball game with airfare included.  Signup will be prior to the game, with a random drawing held during half time of the men’s basketball game. 

Dakota State faculty and staff who gave to the annual campus fund drive will be honored at halftime of the Lady T’s basketball game.  The campus participation rate in the fund drive rose from 54% in 2005 to 70% in 2006.
