Dakota State University faculty recently participated in a four day Cisco Security Boot Camp. The training was put on by Cisco System’s Critical Infrastructure Assurance Group, and facilitated by Cisco personnel Robert Du Chamre and Danny Rodriguez from Austin, TX.  The goal of the training was to familiarize faculty on aspects of network security by working on Cisco equipment. Topics of study included router security, firewalls, virtual private network concentrators and intrusion and detection and prevention systems.
