Artist Reception at Mundt Library Gallery

     The Mundt Library Gallery is hosting an opening for artist John E. Rychtarik, Wednesday, October 18 from 5pm-9pm. 

A native of Pierre, SD, Rychtarik’s work is primarily acrylic on canvas paintings and colored pencil drawings. The artist’s paintings and drawings interpret the landscape of South Dakota; the figure, floral subjects, and objects associated with farming. Throughout his work he demonstrates a mastery of design, color, and strategies in modernist painting.

Rychtarik is currently curator of exhibitions at The State Art Museum in Brookings, South Dakota. The artist will be at the reception and will be available for any questions.
