DSU Financial Aid Director Receives Award

Dakota State University Financial Aid Director Rosie Jamison received the South Dakota Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SDASFAA) Outstanding Service Award at the SDASFAA Spring Conference in April.

The award was established by the SDASFAA in 1994 to recognize a member for service to the association through professional contributions and leadership. It is given to one member annually who is nominated from the membership at large.

Rosie is a 1980 graduate of Dakota State and has been on staff with DSU for 20 years. She became Director of Financial Aid in 1993. In this position, Rosie is responsible for administering the university’s financial aid programs. Approximately 88% of the institution’s degree seeking students receive some form of financial aid, with more than $10.2 million distributed annually.

The award was presented to Rosie by Brenda Murtha, the Past President of SDASFAA and Director of Financial Aid at Augustana College in Sioux Falls.
