Karl E. Mundt Speech Contest

Dakota State University held the annual Karl E. Mundt Speech contest on campus April 21. The contest is hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences and sponsored by the Karl E. Mundt Foundation and the Madison Area Arts Council.

DSU students are invited to participate and speeches are judged by faculty and staff of the university. Cash prizes donated by the Mundt Foundation and the Madison Area Arts Council were awarded to the top three places in each category.

The results in the Informative Speaking category were as follows: 1st Nicole Hoiten; 2nd Noah Sanderson; 3rd Brian Siemonsma; 4th, Noelle Nielsen; 5th, Nicole Lingemann; and 6th, Jennifer Sixta. 

Results in the Persuasive category were as follows: 1st Brett Kearin; 2nd Nicole Hoiten; 3rd Jodi Neugebauer; 4th Noelle Nielsen; 5th Noah Sanderson; and 6th Ashley Spindler.
