Mukhopadhyay has Articles Published in Journal of Molecular
Structure Dr. Indra Mukhopadhyay, recently had two article accepted for publication by the Journal of Molecular Structure. The Journal is a leading publication on molecular physics. The articles are being published in honor of the 75th birthday of Professor Manfred Winnewisser of the University of Giessen, Germany. Winnewisser is a pioneer in the field of molecular physics. Dr. Mukhopadhyay, who has had over 150 papers published, was a visiting professor and worked with Winnewisser in his lab while on the Alexander Fellowship in Germany. They also authored a book together. The Journal of Melecular Structure invited several researchers in the field to contribute to the special edition honoring Winnewisser. Dr. Mukhopadhyay is in the process of establishing a research lab in the Dakota State University Science Center. Texas Tech recently gifted the lab with $430,000 of equipment. Mukhopadhyay has applied for a grant to fund two students to assist him in his research. In his second year at Dakota State University, Dr. Mukhopadhyay teachers all of DSU’s physics classes, both general and advanced and other physical science classes such as Thermal Dynamics. He also works with Madison Middle and High School students as they train for the Science Olympiad. Last year the two Madison students who participated received gold and silver medals. |
