TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM TO BE HELD DEC. 11 – 12 AT DSU Dakota State University of Madison SD, in conjunction with the Center of Excellence in Computer Information Systems is sponsoring a two day symposium on the topic of Information Assurance (IA). The dates are Thursday and Friday, December 11th and 12th with registration taking place in Room 201 of the Technology Classroom Building on the Madison university campus. Corporate sponsors of this symposium include Citigroup, First Premier Bank, Premier Bankcards, the DSU Foundation and the Alumni of Dakota State University. The registration fee includes all breaks during both days plus lunch and dinner on Thursday, and breakfast and lunch on Friday. Incoming DSU President, Dr. Doug Knowlton will be the speaker at the Thursday evening dinner. Knowlton assumes the duties of the Presidency at DSU from retiring President Dr. Jerald Tunheim on January 5, 2004. In addition, the speaker lineup is very formidable and timely as presenters will come from the FBI, the FDIC, the South Dakota Bankers Association, the Federal Reserve Bank, from private sector businesses, the banking industry, and from businesses that specialize in information assurance. In addition, faculty from the College of Business and Information Systems at DSU will be discussing the changes in undergraduate curriculum pertaining to IA, the new Master in IA will be unveiled, and the DSU application to become a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Systems will be discussed. |
