A
delegation of sixteen from Guizhou University of Technology in
China was on the campus of DSU on Thursday, November 6 to explore
potential areas of cooperation and to learn more about the
American higher education system.
The
group was aided with translation by Dakota State faculty members
Dr. Haomin Wang, DSU Webmaster and Assistant Professor, Ms.
MingMing Shao, DSU Web Support Technologist, and Ms.
Mei
Song,
faculty member from East China Normal University who is visiting DSU through a faculty exchange program.
Guizhou University of Technology is a "partner campus" to Dakota
State University for the Sino-American Leadership Initiative
co-sponsored by the American Association of State Colleges and
Universities (AASCU) and the Chinese Education Association for
International Exchange (CEAIE).
The
delegation is also visiting New York, Washington, DC, and several
cities in Canada before they return to China November 14.
