“Catch the Wave” Conference Co-Sponsored By South Dakota Transition Services Liaison Project, Dakota State University and Prairie Lakes Education Cooperative

The “Catch the Wave” conference will be held Thursday, April 17 in the Karl Mundt Foundation on DSU Campus in Madison, SD. The event will run from 9:15am-2:30pm.

“Catch the Wave” is a conference designed specifically for high school students who have a disability and are considering post-secondary education. Students attending the conference will learn about preparing for college life, securing appropriate accommodations, and developing self-advocacy and communication skills.

One of the highlights of the conference will be an opportunity to hear from individuals who have a disability and have experienced a post-secondary setting.

Parents, high school counselors, and special education teachers are also encouraged to attend.  For more information call, 331-0067.
