Winners
announced for the 2nd Annual Technology Showcase The Dakota State University College of Education along with the Learning Organizations for Technology Integration (LOFTI) program recently sponsored the second annual Technology Showcase competition. Winners in the three categories included:
The contest encourages, recognizes and rewards outstanding achievement in the integration of content and technology. Contestants showcased projects ranging from computer-enhanced videos of volleyball teams to reports about dinosaurs, to creative storytelling to web pages about scouting. “This year’s Technology Showcase
participants and their teachers need to be congratulated for their
outstanding accomplishments,” Linda Venekamp, DSU associate
professor of Education and coordinator of the contest said. “All
of the entries demonstrate how students are using their computer
skills in real world applications. We are so proud of all of the
participants, and would especially like to recognize the
winners.” Contestants may enter individually or with a team of no more than three that are all in the same age grade category. Each individual or team entry must have an adult sponsor. The sponsor may be a teacher, parent or community member. Winners will be invited to the Technology Conference on the DSU Campus in September to showcase their projects. The top winners in each category received prizes. Judges looked for a balance between content and presentation. |
