DSU Concert Band, Choir, Jazz Band and Singers
to perform
The Dakota State University Concert Band, Concert Choir, Jazz Band and Singers will have their spring concert on Sunday, April 28th. The event will start at 5pm in the Dakota Prairie Playhouse with free admission. The 39-member Concert Band and the 35-member Concert Choir will perform in the auditorium. Following their performance a light meal will be served in the Convention Center as the Jazz Band and the 16-member DSU Singers entertain. The light meal is also free. “The band and choir usually have concerts on different days,” Barb Hegg, DSU instructor and director of choral music said. “We’re trying something new this year. Both Dennis (Hegg) and I feel very fortunate to be working with the talented students that are in our ensembles. A majority of them come from small schools in South Dakota.” |
