New
faculty at Dakota State University
Madison, SD – The Dakota State University campus will have new faces this fall and not just those of new students. New faculty will be seen as well. Lisa
Bender,
Instructor, College of Business & Information Systems.
She has a BS in Computer Science, minors in Business and
Statistics from North Dakota State University and a MS in
Engineering from SDSU. She
most recently was IT Manager at Falcon Plastics, Inc. in
Brookings. Mark Spitzer, Assistant Professor of Speech/Theatre and Technical Theatre Director, College of Liberal Arts. Mr. Spitzer has an MFA (Lighting Design) from Minnesota State University-Mankato and a BA (Political Science) from UND. Pam
Ellis,
Instructor of Art, College of Liberal Arts.
She has a BS in Vocational Technical Education with minor
in art from SDSU and a Masters in Education Program in Technology
from the University of Sioux Falls.
She taught Art for the Sioux Falls School District and was
a Design Instructor with Southeast Technical Institute.
Scott
Meyer,
Associate Professor of Exercise Science, College of Education.
Dr. Meyer received a PhD from Florida State University
(Exercise Physiology), an MEd
from the University of Houston (Exercise Physiology) and a
BS from the University of Illinois (Physiology).
He is currently the president of Applied Science &
Technology in Sioux Falls. Harold
Sorknes,
Associate Professor of Curriculum and Instruction, College of
Education. He
received his EdD (Curriculum and Instruction) from USD, and MS
(Education Administration) from NSU, and a BS (Education) from
Moorhead State University, MN.
Dr. Sorknes comes to Us from Sisseton-Wahpeton Community
College where he was Director of Teaching Education. Craig
Milewski,
Assistant Professor of Biology, College of Natural Sciences.
Dr. Milewski received
a PhD (Biology), and MS (Wildlife & Fisheries) from
SDSU and a BS (Fisheries Sciences) from Michigan State University.
He comes to DSU from East Dakota Water Development District
in Brookings. Indranath
Mukhopadhyay,
Assistant Professor of Physical Science, College of Natural
Sciences. Dr.
Mukhopadhyay received a PhD (Physics) from the University of New
Brunswick, an M Tech (Electronics & Electrical Communication
Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur,
an MS (Physics) from the University of Burdwan, India and a BS
(Physics) from the University of Burdwan, India. Dustin
Larmore,
Instructor and Technical Services Librarian, Karl Mundt Library.
He has a BA in English from West Virginia University and a
MS in Library Science from the University of Kentucky.
He most recently worked at the Watertown Regional Library
as an Assistant Cataloger/Public Services Librarian. |
