Dakota State University receives Meritorious Award

            Dakota State University received the Meritorious Achievement Award at the 10^th annual South Dakota Governor’s Workplace Safety and Health Awards Program on Tuesday, October 22 in Sioux Falls. The award is presented for outstanding efforts in reducing workplace injuries and illnesses and is based on Workers Comp statistics over the past three years.

            DSU’s Director of Human Resources Nancy Grassel, assistant director of the Physical Plant, Dave Goeden, and custodial workers Roxanne Draper and Greg Scott attended the banquet to accept the award.

            “These employees exemplify a positive attitude toward workplace safety that we enjoy at the grassroots level,” Grassel said. “We want to recognize the core of people who made the award possible, especially the employees in the Physical Plant.”
