Kuestermeyer receives Schwan's President's Award
(Marshall,
Minn., March 20, 2002) – Kevin Kuestermeyer was an integral
member of a cross-functional project team that received the
Schwan’s President’s Award for developing new financial
reporting tools for Schwan’s Home Service field management.
Kuestermeyer is an information services employee at Schwan’s. He
lives in Tyler, Minn. with his wife Anna.
He graduated from Dakota State University (Madison, SD) in
1999.
Schwan’s
President and CEO Lenny Pippin recently presented the award to the
team for its accomplishments in developing new tools to
distribute, view and analyze profit-and-loss reports more
frequently and in greater detail via the corporate Intranet.
"When
the team demonstrated the new system at a recent conference, we
were amazed," Pippin said. "This tool creates all kinds
of new opportunities to identify and manage costs we’ve not been
able to look at easily until now. Kevin was key to the team’s
success. It’s a pleasure to honor his hard work, creativity and
initiative."
The
team developed a system that allows all levels of Schwan’s Home
Service management to view financial performance data for their
areas of responsibility. It also supports the line item budgeting
being implemented this year. Managers can view all sales and
expense items for which they’re responsible.
Dan
Herrmann, vice president and chief financial officer of Schwan’s
Home Service, nominated team members for the award.
The
Schwan’s President's Award is a unique prize given to recognize
employees’ substantial continuous-improvement achievements.
Pippin presents it spontaneously when company leaders become aware
of worthy contributions by word-of-mouth. It includes no specific
form or level of compensation, and winners can receive various
forms of recognition ranging from letters of appreciation to
plaques to cash awards. |
