DSU’s Jensen surpasses 1,000 career points

Dakota State University Men’s basketball sophomore guard, JF Jensen of Volga, SD has surpassed the 1,000 point mark in his career, after scoring a career high 34 points against DAC-10 conference opponent Black Hills State University.

“This is quite an accomplishment for JF,” said head basketball coach Tim Schuring. “Most athletes are pleased to do in a career what he has done in just under two seasons. Everyone associated with DSU Basketball is proud of him.”

Jensen now has 1,015 points in 56 games for the Trojans, putting him at number 12 on the Trojan career points scored record list after just two seasons. He has 584 points this season, which ranks number 8 on the Trojan season points scored record list.

“It wouldn’t be possible without the help of my teammates and the coaching staff,” said Jensen. “They’ve made it possible for me to score that many points.”

Jensen also ranks fourth on the Trojan career three pointers made record list with 109, fifth in a season with 69 and fifth on the Trojan career free throws made list with 304.

Jensen is averaging 21.6 points per game this season and 18.1 points per game in his career.
