DSU Financial Aid Director elected VP of
RMASFAA
Rosie Jamison, Dakota State University Director of
Financial Aid, has been elected as vice president of the Rocky
Mountain Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (RMASFAA).
Jamison was nominated from the organization’s nearly 1000
individual members and elected by the 300 institutional and agency
members of RMASFAA.
“I’m humbled by the vote of confidence from my
colleagues,” Jamison said. “I will strive to assist the
association and continue to do what it does best- benefit
students, student aid programs and provide training for financial
aid directors.” RMASFAA represents eight states as the financial aid professional organization under NASFAA the national organization. Both work with Congress and the US Department of Education for the betterment of financial aid funding, regulatory relief for schools and enhancement of financial aid programs to assist students in achieving their educational goals. “I have an extremely high regard for the organization,” Jamison said of RMASFAA. “If I can help assist another financial aid officer be a better financial aid professional because of my involvement, that would be my goal.” The appointment is for a one-year term and meets three times throughout the year within the member states of South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah. |
