Dakota State University Football Weekends scheduledThe Dakota State University Alumni Association and Athletic Department are sponsoring two football weekends in support of the new era of Trojan football on the road. These weekends allow parents, students, fans and friends of DSU football the chance to support the Trojans while visiting popular tourist attractions. The first weekend will be September 7 when the Trojans travel to Minneapolis to take on the Augsburg Auggies to open the season. The trip consists of a chartered bus provided by Jackrabbit Tours, a tailgate social prior to the game, admission to the game, admission to a Minnesota Twin’s game and a Trojan Football souvenir. The second Football weekend is scheduled for September 28-29 when the Trojans travel to Spearfish to take on the Yellow Jackets of Black Hills State University. This trip includes a round trip bus ride provided by Jackrabbit Tours, a tailgate social prior to the game, admission to the game, hotel accommodations in Deadwood, a visit to Mt. Rushmore and a Trojan football souvenir. “The two football weekends scheduled this year will allow parents, donors and alumni the means to travel with the team to Minneapolis and the Black Hills,” Dr. Tom Gioglio, DSU Director of Athletics said. “They will have the opportunity to support Trojan football and enjoy the different experiences that Minneapolis and The Black Hills offer.” For pricing information or to register for either trip, contact Wendy Shoenrock, DSU Alumni Director, at 256-5692 or Tom Gioglio at 256-5229. Seating is limited. |
