Dakota State University Fall 2002 enrollment figures released

Madison – Dakota State University officials released full-time enrollment and headcount numbers for Fall 2002. DSU saw an increase in both full-time equivalent enrollment and headcount over the previous year.

Headcount rose 12 percent -- reaching 2,263. Full-time equivalent reached 1,600, an increase of 2 percent.

“We are continuing to experience growth particularly in Sioux Falls and in our distance education offerings. That is a clear indicator that our programs are successful and in demand,” said Dr. Jerald Tunheim, President of Dakota State.

Historically, the University has seen its enrollment grow by almost 60% in the last five years.
