Schoenrock joins DSU as
Director of Alumni and Annual Giving Madison, SD—Wendy Shoenrock has accepted the
position of Director of Alumni and Annual Giving at Dakota State University.
She will begin her duties on March 19.
Wendy graduated from Howard High School in 1992 and from Dakota State
University in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special
Education. She was
Wendy lives in Madison with her husband Derrick and
sons Mitchell, age 4 and Mason, age 5 months.
Her parents are Greg and Kathy Callies of Winfred and
Gary Miller of Rapid City. Wendy’s
family has a long history with Dakota State.
She is the fourth generation to graduate from this institution.
Her great grandmother, Ethel Miller, graduated from Eastern Normal.
Her great aunt, Mary Miller, graduated from General Beadle.
Her father, Gary Miller, graduated from Dakota State College; and finally
Wendy herself graduated from Dakota State University.
Wendy’s mother, Kathy Callies, was an employee of Dakota State for over
twenty years and served part of those years and the registrar.
Wendy is completing her Master’s Degree in curriculum
and instruction from SDSU and has attended the TTL and DTL classes at Dakota
State University during the summer. Jona Schmidt, who previously held the position of
Director of Alumni and Annual Giving, has moved into the role of Director of
Planned and Major Gifts. She was in
the alumni office for five years. |
