DSU to unveil new website design and organizational structure

Madison – Dakota State University will ring in the new year with a complete new look and organizational structure for its website, www.dsu.edu.

The University, well-known for its technology infrastructure and programs, plans to unveil the new design on the eve of December 31^st.

“The content organization is the result of some compromise and balance reached after we have tried to incorporate as much constructive input as possible into the re-organization,” said Haomin Wang, Webmaster at Dakota State. “We sought input from faculty, staff and students to improve the new design and actually went through several drafts before finalizing the new design.”

The new structure addresses its audiences – Prospective Students, Current Students, Faculty & Staff, and Alumni & Friends. There are also sections that cover broad areas like “Discover DSU”, “Academics”, “Administration”, and “Campus Life.”

New to the DSU homepage is a section devoted to current events. Under the “@DSU” header, current events involving students, faculty, and staff will be highlighted.

The virtual tour, application, directory, and calendar will also be available from the main site.
