DSU’s Gearhart has paper published online

Deb Gearhart, Director of Distance Education at DSU, recently submitted a paper, “Ethics in Education: Developing Ethical Policies” to “Distance Learning Administration Annual & Conference Proceedings 2000.” The paper will be published in the spring online edition of the Online Journal of Distance Learning Administration which will go online today, March 15 at http://www.westga.edu/~distance/jmain11.html.

             “I was very happy to be asked to publish my paper on Ethics in Distance Education. It is an important research area to me,” said Gearhart. “With the fast growth of education on the web, many important policy areas are overlooked. Ethical policy in distance education helps ensure that learners receive a quality course and education, just as we provide here at Dakota State.”

The OJDLA is an officially registered site, with more than 50 search engines. Since authors do retain copyright, some of our featured articles have been re-printed by larger publications including the Chronicle of Higher Education. The journal is catalogued by many large university libraries, including the University of Georgia, the University of Michigan, and the Australian National University.
