DSU has announced that Dr. Rick Christoph
has
agreed to return to his duties as Dean of the College of Business and
Information Systems at Dakota State University. He will officially take over in
mid-August following completion of his Governor’s Grant obligations. Dr.
Christoph previously served as Dean of the College from 1998-2000. During the
past year he served as Director of the Center of Excellence in Computer
Information Systems.
“I am
extremely pleased that Rick has agreed to return to the leadership position
within the College,” said Dakota State President Dr. Jerald Tunheim. “His
exceptional management skills, technical background, and his commitment to
excellence will provide the stability and direction needed to move the College
toward even greater success.” Dr. Cecelia Wittmayer, Vice
President for Academic Affairs, stated “I’m
very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Christoph again because I
greatly respect his academic leadership.”
“I
plan on doing a number of things to accommodate enhanced growth and new
direction for the college,” said Dr. Christoph. Dr. Christoph earned his Ph.D. in industrial management and his Master of Arts in economics from Clemson University, South Carolina. His undergraduate degree in Recreation and Parks Administration was also earned at Clemson. Prior to coming to DSU in 1998, Dr. Christoph served as a faculty member at Florida Gulf Coast University, Ft. Myers, Florida, and at James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia. |
