DSU's Christoph permanently resigns
as Dean of the College of BIS
Madison – Dakota State University officials
announced today the resignation of Dr. Richard Christoph as dean of the College
of Business and Information Systems (BIS).
Because of family health problems, Dr. Christoph temporarily stepped down
from his responsibilities as dean a year ago. During the last year, he has served as director of the Center
of Excellence in Computer and Information Systems and as a professor of
information systems. Dr. Christoph
will continue his duties as director of the Center of Excellence and will remain
a member of the DSU faculty.
“We will miss Dr. Christoph’s expertise and guidance as
Dean of the College of BIS, but we are fortunate that he will remain as a member
of the faculty at Dakota State,” said Dr. Cecelia Wittmayer, Vice President
for Academic Affairs at DSU.
Dr. Terry Dennis was appointed acting dean when Dr.
Christoph was granted a temporary leave last year. He will remain in that position until a new dean is hired and
then will return to his faculty position within the college.
Dakota State University will begin a nationwide search for
Dean of the College of Business and Information Systems immediately.
