Cameron
resigns after fifth season at DSU
Dakota State University Athletic Director, Dr. Tom Gioglio, has announced the resignation of University men’s head basketball coach Tom Cameron. The announcement was made official on Monday, February 26. Tom will continue to teach several classes at the university this semester, including golf, weight training, outdoor recreation, basketball theory and adapted P.E. “I would like to express my appreciation and thanks to Tom’s dedication to DSU over the past five years,” said Dr. Gioglio. Cameron, who played for Dakota State during the 1981-83 seasons, coached five seasons at Dakota State from 1996-2001. During that time Cameron produced four All-Americans and two All-Conference athletes. Cameron resides in Madison with his wife Alice (Green). Together they have seven children- Adam, Amy, Alex, Emily, Thomas, Joseph and Elizabeth. Dr. Gioglio says a national search will be held to replace Cameron. |
