Tunheim to attend national invitation-only workshop

 Madison, SD  -- Dr. Jerald Tunheim, President of Dakota State University was asked to participate in “Exploring the Digital Divide for Advanced Networks in Smaller Institutions”, a workshop of the President’s Information Technology Advisory Committee (PITAC) and EDUCAUSE. 

The invitation-only workshop will be held June 4-6 in Arlington, Virginia.

The purpose of the workshop is to develop recommendations to PITAC on the expansion of advanced networking services.  

According to EDUCAUSE, Tunheim’s nomination to attend in the workshop was because DSU is exemplary of the type of institution that will benefit from advanced networking.  Only about 30 institutions nation-wide are expected to attend.
