NCA Extends Accreditation
to DSU’s Madison -- Dakota State University received
notification from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA)
that it has extended DSU’s accreditation to include the Master of Science in
Education in Computer Education & Technology (MSED). “We are excited about this final accreditation action of
our Master of Science in Computer Education & Technology and are ready to
begin admitting students into the program this Fall,” said Dr. Jerald Tunheim,
President of Dakota State University. He went on to add that there has been considerable interest in the program from teachers across the state and surrounding areas. “We expect enrollment to increase rapidly in the same way that has happened in our Master of Science in Information Systems,” said Tunheim. “The Master’s program is designed for teachers that
want to expand their knowledge in computer and education technology,” said
Tunheim. “It will contribute significantly to the progress in utilizing
technology in the K-12 educational process in South Dakota.” The MSED program is a collaborative effort with the
University of South Dakota.
