DSU Ranks Again, Third
Year In A Row
Madison – Yahoo! Internet Life Magazine released
its most wired colleges lists this week and Dakota State University once again
broke the top 12. This year, Dakota
State University ranked #9 on the Most Wired Colleges in the
Baccalaureate II classification. “DSU is thrilled to make the list for the third year in a
row. We are extremely proud of our
computer infrastructure and the opportunities it provides students and faculty.
We are excited to receive national recognition from Yahoo!,” said Dr.
Jerald Tunheim, President of DSU. Judging criteria included recent computer purchases, wired
classrooms, dorm equipment, online administrative services, email access, and
online courses. “Not only do we have a great infrastructure, but DSU has
the curriculum and faculty to take advantage of that infrastructure.
This provides unmatched career opportunities for students who graduate
from DSU,” concluded Tunheim. According to the magazine, all 3,631 2-year and 4-year
institutions were invited to participate in this year’s survey. The 2000 survey included four top 100 lists by institution
type. They included:
Universities, Colleges, Baccalaureate II, and 2-Year Institutions.
Dakota State has been featured every year the list has been compiled. For a look at DSU’s ranking, visit
