DSU enrollment figures released Madison – Dakota State University officials released
full-time enrollment and headcount numbers for Fall 2000.
Full-time equivalent enrollment reached a record high of 1,444 – an
increase of 8%. Headcount was 1,801
– a decrease of 10%. “Three years ago, when the decision was made to include
the Teaching & Technology Learning academies (TTL) in headcount numbers, we
knew there would be a decrease in headcount when TTL ended at DSU. We had 300
teachers last year and this year we did not host a TTL academy,” said Dr.
Jerald Tunheim, president of DSU. “We
are experiencing significant growth in full time students on campus, in Sioux
Falls, and in our online programs. That
is a clear indicator that our programs are successful and on track with future
expectations.” Dakota State University’s on campus Fall enrollment includes a record freshmen class of 372 students with a record high average ACT score. DSU’s full time equivalent enrollment has increased by 53% over the last 4 years. (end) |
