Benefit Dance For Former Dakota State Employee

Former part-time Dakota State University sports information director Dan Sudenga has been battling cancer for the past two years. During that time he has undergone four surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation to wipe out the cancer.

Sudenga has been the morning voice for K-JAM radio in Madison for several years and will be the guest of honor for a benefit dance to be held at the Madison Downtown Armory, Saturday, September 9 from 9pm to 1am.

Performing will be the band “Something New” from Salem, SD. Also performing are 12 year-old sensation Haily Soyland and comedian Mike Hendrickson, a long-time friend of Sudenga’s.

All proceeds from the cancer benefit will be used to help Dan and Carla with medical expenses. If you are unable to attend donations are also being accepted at Wells Fargo Bank in Madison. Proceeds can be sent to the Dan Sudenga Benefit Fund, P.O. Box 247, Madison, SD 57042. Or you can drop them off during regular business hours at the K-JAM studios, 101 South Egan Ave. in Downtown Madison.
